Play Guitar: Auld Lang Syne with Only 3 Guitar Chords

Welcome back!

With the new year just around the corner,  I’m sure you’ll be hearing Auld Lang Syne a few times.

If you play guitar or are just learning to play guitar, you may have toyed with the idea of playing Auld Lang Syne on your guitar.

Well, you’ve come to the right place if you are looking for a really easy way to play this song.

Below you will find a link to a simple 3 chord arrangement I’ve done for this ever popular New Year’s song.

The arrangement to Auld Lang Syne uses only 3 guitar chords: G, C, and D.  For the beginning guitar player, G, C and D major are among the easiest chords to play.

My arrangement shows you how to play the melody with tab (tablature) or standard notation.  Chord fingerings are also shown.

Enjoy and Happy New Year!
